Emperor X - lathe cut - 10,000-Year Earworm to Discourage Settlement Near Nuclear Waste Repositories
This is a limited lathe cut edition of 50 weather-resistant, EMP-proof polycarbonate plate containing mono audio of Emperor X's 2014 contribution to the 99 Percent Invisible podcast as part of an episode on nuclear semiotics. The track is called "10,000-Year Earworm to Discourage Settlement Near Nuclear Waste Repositories (Don't Change Color, Kitty)" and each copy includes individual human paw-printed art featuring the face of one of the Emperor X family cats in the center of a radiation trefoil. Her name is Trisha, she is a very proper lady, and her eyes remain normal-colored, making it highly unlikely that the Emperor X family home is located near a nuclear waste storage facility.
Emperor X personally lathed each copy, signed each label, stamped and hand-numbered each jacket, and paw-printed each jacket back. We will not reprint this edition.
